Greystone Athletic U17's vs Threave Rovers (U17)

November 1, 2015
Score: 12 - 0

Match Report

A perfect autumn day for football, not a breath of wind and on the grass Keswick pitch for a change, which was in great shape thanks to Jim Stewart’s hard work.

A few of changes to the starting line up with Niall Holden and Thomas and Duncan Wright coming into the midfield with Keir Hunter dropping back into defence. The game started brightly with Greystone creating pressure and chances from the first whistle. Liam Robertson certainly looked to be in the running for a super fast hat trick and Greystone were quickly 2-0 up. Greystone were retaining the ball well and creating further chances.

Half time substitutions were made and a change of formation. Ross Bell came on at right back, Josh Gilston into central midfield and Jordan Gilmour up front. The goals kept coming despite Threave’s best efforts with the final score reading 12-0 to Greystone.

All in all a very good display from Greystone with the players coming in all doing well and making my job of team selection even more difficult!

Thanks to Bob Park for a good refereeing performance and Alistair and Jim and all the Threave boys.
